Covid-19 guidelines for consumer goods sector

Following the declaration of a national state of disaster on 23 March 2020 in response to the
Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (“COVID-19”) pandemic declared by the World Health
Organisation, it has become incumbent on business and individuals to apply enhanced hygiene
measures.

These guidelines are intended to address frequently asked questions and provide tools for
businesses to develop workplace-specific protocols and to ensure that they are able to act within
the required legal framework.

In addition to the enhanced measures set out in these guidelines, businesses should continue to
apply all the usual good manufacturing practices and food hygiene standards.

These guidelines are subject to change and should be taken as a working document as legislation
and official guidelines are published.
