PUBLIC HEALTH
Business for South Africa has established a Health Workgroup, whose core mandate is to support the national response, including that of Government and the private healthcare sector, in their efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in South Africa.
The Workgroup involves a large number of volunteer leaders from the healthcare and broader business sectors, many of whom are working full time on this issue.

You can help protect frontline doctors and healthcare workers. Divert or donate your PPE stocks, including N95 and surgical masks, latex-free gloves, plastic aprons, visors and goggles, gowns and suits and overshoes by emailing the following details to: http://covid19manager.co.za

- How many units of each?
- Which manufacturer’s brand?
- Where are they (i.e. where in SA)?
- Are they sterile or non-sterile? (we will sterilise).

The following information should be included in your email:
- What stocks do you have?
- How many units of each?
- Which manufacturer’s brand?
- Where are they (i.e. where in SA)?
- Are they sterile or non-sterile? (we will sterilise).

While we encourage donations, we are open to all options, including the procurement of existing PPE currently within company or industry stores. Our efforts at providing PPE are intended for doctors, nurses and healthcare workers in the frontline of fighting the pandemic. This includes both the public and private sector.

All companies, even those in lockdown, are being asked to donate or divert their current stocks, some example industries include:
- Manufacturing
- Forestry and agriculture
- Construction
- Mills
- Spray painting and signwriting industries
- Mining
- Non-essential healthcare professionals, such as dentists, physiotherapists, chiropractors etc.
